The workshop behind the tools
Someone sent a file that would not open in Word. Spreadsheets arrived as scans. Photos of IDs had to become a single document by morning. PDF Tools Maikhun is the set of converters we wished existed then: free to use, no account, and built to finish the job in the browser.
The name is the site: a small workshop for documents, not a suite that asks you to install software. We keep the converters simple so a student, an office, or a developer can pick a format and leave with a file.
What we believe
A PDF should not trap your work. You should be able to turn it into a table, a page of text, a picture, or a new PDF without signing in.
We design every converter around three steps: upload, convert, download. Files are processed for that task. They are not kept as a long-term archive on our side.
How we got here
The first request was always the same: get data out of a PDF. That became CSV and Excel. Then people needed the opposite — photos and spreadsheets that had to travel as a PDF everyone could open.
Image tools followed because scans are often too large or the wrong size for a form. Speech to PDF exists for notes that start as a voice, not a keyboard. The homepage is the catalog. This page is why the catalog exists.
Each tool answers one format problem: PDF to Word, JPG to PDF, HTML to PDF, and the rest.
Conversions are built to run in the browser whenever possible, so a document does not have to sit on a server to finish.
Same header, same steps, same download. You should not relearn the site every time you change format.
Who uses the bench
We do not assume you made the PDF. Most visitors are converting something someone else sent.
Turn worksheets into text, pack photos of homework into one PDF, or pull a table into Excel before a deadline.
IDs, invoices, and signed forms often arrive as images. A PDF is what a portal or printer actually accepts.
JSON, XML, HTML, and CSV converters exist for records that need to leave a PDF and enter a sheet or an app.
How we choose features
You should convert a file without creating an account. If a tool is on the site, it is there to use.
We do not hide twenty formats behind one dropdown. Each converter has a name, a limit, and a download.
Your documents are processed to finish a conversion. They are not a dataset we keep or sell.
